๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Vision Training Games

Four free games to sharpen your visual recognition, scanning, and typing skills.

Vision training games build the visual processing skills that underlie reading, navigation, and daily life. Unlike passive learning, interactive exercises force your brain to actively encode dot patterns, track moving targets, or match letters under time pressure โ€” exactly the kind of effortful practice that drives lasting improvement. Research on perceptual learning shows that short, consistent sessions outperform long infrequent ones. All four games here are browser-based, free to play, and designed around the same principle: rapid feedback on each response so your brain immediately updates its model of what is correct. No account is required, and your best scores are saved locally so you can track improvement session by session.

Braille Practice teaches you to place the correct dots for each letter or number in a six-dot cell. Decode Dots reverses the flow โ€” you see the raised dot pattern and must type the matching character. Together they build bidirectional braille literacy. Search the Screen trains peripheral visual scanning across four quadrants while you hold your gaze on a central fixation dot, a technique used in vision rehabilitation and sports performance training. The Typing Test measures your words per minute and accuracy against random English passages, helping you build speed and reduce errors at the keyboard. Work through all four or focus on the one that challenges you most.
