How is fuel saving calculated?
The calculator converts your distance saving into fuel volume using your vehicle's consumption rate (litres or kWh per 10 km/miles), then multiplies by the fuel price. For example: saving 20 km/week in a car consuming 0.6 L/10 km at 18 /litre = 1.2 L × 18 = 21.6 saved per week, 1 123 per year.
Electric vehicles
For EVs, select "Electric" to switch units to kWh. Enter your electricity rate per kWh and your car's consumption in kWh per 10 km — typically 1.5–2.5 kWh/10 km for modern EVs.
